Intimate Wedding in Cheyenne Canyon

Casey reached out to me with a loose plan for the florals she wanted for her day — and gave me some creative freedom with blooms & ribbon. And to top it all off, I was able to source 100% local flowers for Casey’s day! I’m only ever able to do this a few weddings of the season — but when I do they are always a favorite. There’s just something about local flowers straight from the field.

The Colorado Flower Collective which is headquartered in Denver makes it possible for florists like me to source from flower farms beyond the Springs! There are a few local farms, including Gather Mountain Blooms that I love to directly source from, but with the Collective I’m able to support farms all the way up near Boulder! And for me it’s such a joy to be able to support many farms through the designing process.

This end of July wedding allowed me to use so many favorites including Dahlias, Rudbeckia and Strawflower. Dahlias are always a showstopper in bouquets and these white ones pop so well in this design.

And to just make this day so much sweeter, Rachel with Rachel Beckwith Photo captured them so beautifully. My mouth dropped as I opened their gallery and scrolled through their day. Between their first look at Kinship Landing and then their ceremony in the mountains of Cheyenne Canyon — I was just awestruck with how perfect their day turned out to be. Casey and Ryan, thank you for letting me design such special pieces for your day!
